The Saint Louis Art Museum seeks a Director for Learning and Engagement, to ensure the operation of Learning and Engagement initiatives at the Museum, and to determine its goals are aligned with the priorities and objectives of the strategic plan. Includes full opportunities to develop, coordinate, and supervise the Museum’s public programs and education processes. Responsibilities include working with other departments to plan and promote Museum programs that will complement exhibitions and collections, budgeting, recruiting, and representing the Museum at external events. 
Master’s degree or equivalent in Art history or related field required. Must be well-versed in current learning theories and practices, innovative approaches to museum education, and use of technological tools to enhance experiences. Minimum 7 years’ management experience in museum education, including staff supervision, budgeting, and program development. Strong background in art history, public engagement with art, and visitor motivation. Employment date is as soon as possible.
