The Norton Museum of Art is seeking a Museum Educator to assist the Curator of Education to develop, coordinate and execute School and Teacher programs.   The successful candidate will serve as liaison with public, private and parochial schools to maintain tours and design new arts-integrated education programs; research, write, prepare and distribute teacher resources and tour materials; plan and coordinate teacher professional development programs and programs that enhance teacher/student awareness and involvement in the Museum; manage and expand the Norton School Partnership program; manage all aspects of the Marden Gallery student exhibitions; and assist with Family and Public programs as needed.

The position requires a Bachelors degree, and an MA in Art, Art History, Education, Museum studies or related field is preferred.  Professional museum experience with children and/or classroom teaching experience is preferred. The candidate must be literate in Microsoft Office; have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be comfortable in a leadership and speaking role.   The ability to communicate clearly with educators, administrators and children is essential.
