The Education Programs Associate offers administrative support and coordination to the Public and Exhibitions Program division, including the program area that produces the Sunday at the Met series, lectures, symposia, and scholars’ day workshop events. This position also provides support to other staff in Public and Exhibition program areas, across Education, and areas of the Museum.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
• Assist with preparation and tracking of contracts for event speakers
• Coordinate travel, transportation, and accommodations for event participants
• Process/track speaker contract and travel invoices
• Monitor and maintain event budgets and calendar
• Schedule and update room/auditorium event reservations
• Communicate and coordinate A/V, usher, and event catering needs
• Support event promotion: maintain online event listings, help develop and produce event social media outreach, update electronic signage, coordinate website posting of event recordings with Digital Media staff, prepare and submit event poster and flyer design requisitions, produce other promotional materials for events and program area
• Compile and report overall monthly statistics
• Maintain area email inbox
• Assist with program events as required
• Other related duties

Requirements and Qualifications:
Experience and Skills:
• Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills, required
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills, required
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously, required
• Special events planning, preferred

Knowledge and Education:
• Bachelor’s degree, required
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), required
• Knowledge/familiarity with administrative, facilities, and content management systems (ex: Workday, Artifax, and Tessitura, MailChimp), preferred
