The Connecticut Historical Society is seeking to fill its Director of Institutional Advancement position. This is a senior level position responsible for helping to shape and carryout institutional strategy, overseeing branding and marketing, and building a “culture of philanthropy” throughout the organization in all staff members, programs and services. As an experienced leader and professional fundraiser this position is responsible for setting the strategic goals for the department in conjunction with the strategic goals of the institution, and managing all department staff and operations. Furthermore, the position is an advocate and spokesperson for the institution, focused on strengthening current relationships, expanding the base of members, individual and corporate donors, and volunteers, while also growing new audiences and identifying opportunities to extend and deepen the CHS’s mission.
