Position Summary:
Reporting to the Senior Director, Events Institutional Advancement, the Associate Director will assume a comprehensive leadership role in the daily operation of the Events office. Will exhibit knowledge of, and participate in, all events in the areas of fundraising, strategy and execution. Will be the point person on (3) of (5) major annual benefit events and be responsible for meeting fundraising goals.
Acts as Senior Director’s deputy as needed.

Key Areas of Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

– Strategizing leadership for fund raising and cultivation events
– Strategizing for and meeting fundraising goals
– Research and initiate sponsorship proposals with the help of Corporate Development
– Designated point person on specific fundraisers, manage and assist on all others; monitoring revenues to ensure financial goals are met
– Attend Museum wide meetings with, or for, Senior Director as needed
– Liaise with Presidents and Sr.Vice Presidents office as needed
– Execution of various Institutional Advancement events
– Conducts weekly events staff meetings
– Management of Junior staff as needed

Required Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree
– Minimum four years’ experience in a Development Events office
– Detailed-oriented with excellent interpersonal, communication (oral and written), and organizational skills
– Willing to work occasional evenings for events
– Fluent in Microsoft Office
