Position Title: Creative Services Manager
Department: Marketing
Reports to: Director of Marketing and Communications
Type of Position: Full-time, salaried/exempt

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, the Creative Services Manager is a hands-on-role responsible for all operations associated with the creative needs of the marketing department across all mediums.

Responsibilities:

• Develop schedules, track and manage workflow for all projects developed within the Marketing Department including collateral, advertising, direct mail and email.
• Develop and manage a stable of creative resources to include designers, writers, photographers, illustrators
• Maintain, monitor and enforce brand standards museum wide
• Serve as the primary editor of publications
• Provide photo research and manage digital assets for department
• Manage relationships and negotiations with printers to include best practices
• Review and approve final proofs prior to printing
• Maintain records of finished work for reference and archival purposes
• Execute fast turn temporary signage/needs for various museum functions and activities
• Serve as liaison with internal departments to ensure accuracy and image quality
• Work with marketing managers, web team and media relations team to ensure consistency in quality, tone and messaging
• Responsible for quality of design across all mediums

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in English, communications, design, art history or arts preferred
• 5-7 years experience in creative workflow process
• Great eye for design – actual design experience a major plus
• Web and computer-savvy; proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
• Demonstrated project management, negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize and organize workload
• Demonstrated ability to work under tight deadlines and shifting priorities
• Love art and love the process of creating communications materials
• Sense of humor
