Donor Relations Specialist

 

Description:
The Trustees of Reservations are seeking a Donor Relations Specialist to join our Advancement team. Reporting to the Development Operations Manager, the Donor Relations Specialist is responsible for entering and acknowledging philanthropic gifts in support of The Trustees of Reservations.  The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and great organizational skills, helping to ensure consistently excellent quality of data processing, acknowledging and reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the timely and accurate entry of contributions and related constituent information into the Raiser’s Edge database.
  • Responsible for producing and tracking timely and accurate donor acknowledgement letters and related correspondence.
  • Performs on-going data clean-up.
  • Helps maintain Advancement Department’s filing system.
  • Participates in Advancement Department’s phone coverage.
  • At the direction of the Development Operations Manager, participates in a variety of special projects, including special events which require occasional evening or weekend work.
Qualifications:

  • Experience with Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge database preferred.
  • Previous experience in a fundraising setting desired.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work while adhering to deadlines.
  • Demonstrated customer service.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, volunteers and donors.
  • Other computer skills desired include Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
  • Commitment to strict confidentiality of donor information.
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, with a good sense of humor.

Hours & Benefits:

The Donor Relations Specialist is a full-time, non-exempt position based at Long Hill in Beverly, MA.
