The Perot Museum of Nature and Science seeks a dynamic and competent Vice President of Programs who will bring the skills and leadership necessary to, in partnership with the CEO and leadership team, continue to fulfill and elevate the educational mission of the Perot Museum.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the VP of Programs sets the strategic direction for the museum’s education programs, ensuring their highest quality, thus enhancing attendance, revenue, and growth. The VP of Programs provides guidance and leadership for early childhood, school and public programs department directors and serves as the chief oversight for programs initiatives and education curriculum development. The VP of Programs is also responsible for managing professional relationships with school systems and area science and/or education organizations and individuals, preparing funding requests, serving as principal investigator on departmental grant projects, coordinating the efforts of board and staff committees, and overseeing departmental budgets.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of ten years of experience designing and delivering high quality, innovative educational experiences.
  • Five plus years leading and managing teams, including managing those who manage others.
  • Ideally, in-depth knowledge and relevant industry experience, with a proven track record of exceeding goals.
  • High level of business acumen including problem solving, creative resourcefulness, and project and fiscal management.
  • Advanced degree in Education or relevant STEM field(s) is preferred.
