Two paid positions as Collections Associates are immediately available to continue work on an
ILMS grant funded project to inventory and photograph a large collection of American material
culture from the 18th, 19th, and early 20th century. The 35-40 hour per week positions would
entail some initial training, digital imaging and data entry using Past Perfect software; some
research will be required for preliminary identification of objects. Some lifting and adaptability
to dusty spaces will be required. The successful candidate should have completed collections
management course work or have collections experience, including familiarity with care and
preservation. Other duties may include assistance on exhibition development, digital archiving,
and the development of interactive educational resources. The positions are at Museum Village
in Monroe, NY, which is less than an hour drive from NYC in Orange County; it is easily
accessible by bus or train. The living history museum is a rural setting of some 30 structures that
house a collection in excess of 25,000 artifacts; its interpretative setting is 1860-1910. Send a
