museum programs and exhibitions, is seeking a Research Associate in its
Alexandria, VA office.  The Research Associate will be responsible for
implementing a diverse range of evaluation projects and services;
coordinating data collection logistics; developing evaluation tools;
collecting and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data; and preparing
reports and presentations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to join a work environment
that is client-centered and pursues excellence in evaluation.  A master¹s
degree in applied anthropology, educational psychology, sociology,
educational measurement, museum education, museum studies, or evaluation,
or a related field is required.  Qualified candidates will be familiar with
current evaluation methods and practices and have some experience with
qualitative and quantitative data analysis.  The candidate must have
excellent written and verbal communication skills and enjoy public speaking
and giving presentations.  Qualified candidates must also be able to juggle
multiple projects and work both independently and as part of project
teams.  A passion for museums or other kinds of informal learning
environments is preferred.  Travel is also required and integral to the
position.

Randi Korn & Associates, Inc., a consulting firm specializing in museum planning and evaluation with a focus on organizational development, is seeking a Senior Associate in its San Francisco, CA office.  The ideal candidate is an experienced evaluator, skilled communicator, and passionate about museums and other informal learning environments.  This individual is also highly organized, deadline oriented, and desires a work environment that is client centered and continually in pursuit of excellence.

This individual will work in concert with the main RK&A office in Virginia and the other regional office in New York.  Responsibilities include implementing multiple, diverse evaluation projects; coordinating contractors; data collection teams; developing evaluation tools; collecting and analyzing data; and preparing reports and presentations.

Requirements:
. Masters or Ph.D. in education, evaluation, museum studies, museum education, or a related field

. Minimum five years experience conducting audience research and evaluating museum programs and exhibitions using qualitative and quantitative methodologies

. Proficient in using technology in all facets of work (Microsoft Office 2010, including PowerPoint)
. Portfolio of reports that demonstrate expertise in current evaluation methods and practices as well as strong writing and data presentation skills

. Work or academic experience that demonstrates strong verbal presentation and facilitation skills

. Must be able to work independently and as part of project teams

Randi Korn & Associates, Inc., a consulting firm specializing in museum planning and evaluation with a focus on organizational development, is seeking a Managing Director in its San Francisco, CA office.  The ideal candidate is an experienced manager and evaluator, skilled communicator, and passionate about museums and other informal learning environments.  This individual is also highly organized, deadline oriented, and desires a work environment that is client centered and continually in pursuit of excellence.

This individual will work in concert with the main RK&A office in Virginia and the other regional office in New York, as well as lead client interactions. Responsibilities include simultaneously managing multiple projects and staff associated with projects, designing evaluation strategies, preparing proposals, developing and / or reviewing evaluation tools, and preparing reports and presentations.

Requirements:
. Masters or Ph.D. in education, evaluation, museum studies, museum education, or a related field
. 8 to 10 years experience conducting audience research and evaluating programs and exhibitions in museums and other informal learning environments using qualitative and quantitative methodologies
. Experience conceptualizing research and evaluation studies, including selecting methodologies, developing instruments, and managing human subject review processes
. Portfolio of reports that demonstrate expertise in current evaluation methods and practices as well as strong writing and data presentation skills
. Work or academic experience — particularly at national conferences –that
demonstrates strong verbal presentation and facilitation skills
. Strong project management experience, including monitoring budgets,
staffing time, timelines, and client interactions
. Proficient in using technology in all facets of work (Microsoft Office 2010, including PowerPoint)
. Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of project teams, while mentoring junior staff
