Position Summary

Manages the day to day operations of the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum and
Planetarium.

*Description*

Manages the day to day operations of the Museum and Planetarium, including:

Manages the internship, volunteer, and membership programs, including
supervising the Volunteer Coordinator and Membership Coordinator.

Manages the school tour (expeditions) program, including supervising the
School Tour Coordinator.

Reviews all staff work before it is submitted or published, ensuring
quality and accuracy.

Provides ongoing assessments of staff performance and yearly performance
reviews.

Responsible for maintaining website content, posting updates, and creates
Museum publications: newsletters and flyers.

Responsible for evaluating vendors based on capabilities, performance and
consistent quality assurance.

Responsible for museum presence on social media.

Manages events in the museum and planetarium, including Rosicrucian Park
sponsored events, corporate rentals, and Friends of the Museum membership
events.

Prepares event agreements for approval.

Prepares other documents for approval, such as permission to publish images.

Provides guided tours, gallery talks, planetarium shows, and museum
workshops when needed.

*Minimum Requirements*

Bachelor¹s Degree in Business or Museum Studies required, MBA or MA in
Museum Management preferred.

Two years management experience; non-profit or museum experience preferred.

Exceptional guest service ethic and high expectations for quality.

Proven ability to supervise people well.

Must be proficient in MS Office suite of applications (Outlook, Word,
Excel, PowerPoint) and the Windows file explorer, project tracking
software, electronic mail, and routine database activity. Familiarity with
Past Perfect software a plus.

Fluency in English, second language a plus.

Must be self-motivated and possess a strong work ethic.

Must have effective interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written)
and present a positive and informative experience and image of the
organization.

Must possess strong organizational skills and be attentive to detail.

Must be able to function in occasionally stressful environment and/or on
short deadlines and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work independently.

Must enjoy being a part of a team environment.
