Director of Education & Programming [Waukesha County Museum]

The Waukesha County Museum is currently seeking a Director of Education & Programming to lead, develop, and grow its educational and programming initiatives as we implement a new strategic plan over the next few years. This exciting position will play a key role in developing engaging education programs and events that both educate and entertain a wide variety of audiences. Proven experience developing successful programs from youth to seniors is needed. Experience with scouting programs also beneficial. Experience developing new start-up programs that have gained grant support is a plus. An understanding of developing programs to meet state curriculum guidelines and how to establish contacts within educational institutions desired.

We are seeking an individual with energy, creativity, and an engaging public personality. This position will serve as the main “face” to schools, educators, community outreach programs, and guided tours. Experience successfully leading adult committees and education task forces toward common goals is ideal. If you like the idea of being a part of a growing

This is a full-time 40+ hr/week department head position reporting directly to the Executive Director. Due to the nature of this position, the work week is Tuesday-Saturday.
