New Summer Fellowships for Graduate Research in the Humanities and Arts

Tufts Arts & Sciences graduate students in the humanities and arts may apply for a $4,000 summer research fellowship that provides working space within Tisch Library and support from a research librarian who will assist with the use of Tisch resources and help with access to other needed collections. The award supports the use of the library’s collection in the writing of a master’s theses or doctoral dissertation. Deadline: April 19. For more information, see here.

Author Talk Featuring Sarah Sobieraj


On Thursday, February 28, 3:30 PM, in the Hirsh Reading Room, Sarah Sobieraj will discuss her book, Soundbitten: The Perils of Media Centered Political Activism, which illuminates the relationship between news and activist organizations, and shows that media-centrism is not only ineffective, but also toxic to group life. The event is sponsored by Friends of Tufts Libraries. The 12th Maxine Newberg Gordon, J70, Book Prize will precede the talk.
