Tufts Arts & Sciences graduate students in the humanities and arts may apply for a $4,000 summer research fellowship that provides working space within Tisch Library and support from a research librarian who will assist with the use of Tisch resources and help with access to other needed collections. The award supports the use of the library’s collection in the writing of a master’s theses or doctoral dissertation. Deadline: April 19. For more information, see here.
On Thursday, February 28, 3:30 PM, in the Hirsh Reading Room, Sarah Sobieraj will discuss her book, Soundbitten: The Perils of Media Centered Political Activism, which illuminates the relationship between news and activist organizations, and shows that media-centrism is not only ineffective, but also toxic to group life. The event is sponsored by Friends of Tufts Libraries. The 12th Maxine Newberg Gordon, J70, Book Prize will precede the talk.

You can now organize study groups through your phone. Log onto JumboStudy to create a study group based on any of the classes you’re taking this semester. Want to print from a Mac? You may have to re-install the printing package. Anyone who downloaded the Tisch Mac printing packages prior to this semester will have to uninstall the older version and re-download a new one.
