Visit the Tisch Library’s leisure reading blog, What Sophia Recommends. Sophia is our lovely bronze mascot who sits on a bench across from the New Books Shelf. Sophia serves as an important reminder that even in these busy days it is important (and enjoyable) to read for fun. Check out her blog where you’ll find suggested titles and book reviews.

Have some old shoes lying around that you can’t bring yourself to throw away? Want an excuse to buy some new kicks? Now through Friday, October 19th, donate your old running shoes/sneakers/tennis shoes to Tisch, and we’ll send them off to be recycled into playing surfaces for kids.
To recycle, just toss your shoes in the box in the Tisch library lobby. For more information about how the shoes will be recycled, see here.
