ESTS Drop-In Desk Closing
The ESTS drop-in consultation desk (located inside the Digital Design Studio) will be closing for good on Friday, Dec. 14. Starting Dec. 17, faculty can request support with ESTS staff at a location of their choosing by emailing edtech@tufts.edu, or by calling 7-2859 to schedule an appointment. 
Author Talk Featuring Hugh Howard, A74
On Thursday, November 15, 3:30 PM, in the Hirsh Reading Room, Hugh Howard will discuss his book, Mr. and Mrs. Madison’s War: America’s First Couple and the Second War of Independence. Howard paints a portrait of President and First Lady Madison, their relationship, and key players in Washington during the War of 1812. This war was a critical turning point in U.S. history.

Recycle your old shoes at Tisch
Have some old shoes lying around that you can’t bring yourself to throw away? Want an excuse to buy some new kicks? Now through Friday, October 19th, donate your old running shoes/sneakers/tennis shoes to Tisch, and we’ll send them off to be recycled into playing surfaces for kids.
To recycle, just toss your shoes in the box in the Tisch library lobby. For more information about how the shoes will be recycled, see here.
Apply for the Undergraduate Research Award
Undergraduate students may apply for the Tisch Library Undergraduate Research Award from now until March 8, 2013. The award recognizes outstanding undergraduate use of the library’s collections and the development of expertise in the production of an exemplary research paper or project.
