The John T. Burlingame Graduate Fellowship in Physics

Endowed by and named for John T. Burlingame, a graduate of the Tufts Department of Physics and Astronomy to recognize outstanding achievement by graduate students in physics. These fellowships are awarded to one or more graduate students to enable them to focus their efforts on research to make rapid progress leading toward their doctoral degree.

The Kathryn A. McCarthy Graduate Fellowship in Physics

Endowed by and named for Dr. Kathryn A. McCarthy, a former Tufts Provost and Professor emerita of the Tufts Department of Physics and Astronomy and a pioneer in the entry of women into physics, to recognize outstanding achievement and promise of a female student in physics and astronomy.
