Match History:

The New England Cup (2-3) 3rd Place

On a rainy Sunday, the Tufflepuffs headed down to the Boston commons for the 2nd Annual New England Cup, hosted by Emerson. Despite the fierce weather conditions, the team had a great time, and pulled out a 3rd place trophy in their tournament debut. The tournament began with a round robin matches against competitors Emerson, BU, and UMass. In the first game, Tufts put up a fantastic fight against the nationally ranked number 2, Emerson, yet lost out by 10 points after a snitch grab. In the game against BU, Tufts played well against their scrimmage challengers from the week before. In the third game, Tufts defeated UMass with an intense Quaffle score during a sudden death round. In the tournament round, Tufts put up a great performance once again against BU, this time leaving everything on the pitch with the game coming down to a snitch grab by BU. Finally in the consolation round, Tufts won handily against UMass to take 3rd place.

In addition to its 3rd place win, Tufflepuff Keeper, John Gill was honored as the best Keeper in New Enagland.

Tufts vs. BU (0-2)

BU, the third place team at the last installment of the world cup came to Tufts for an excellent day of friendly Quidditch. BU having experience in playing against teams from all over the country was able to win the first two games played to win the match best out of 3, yet Tufts was not out for the count. Both teams put on an excellent performance, with the second and final game coming down to an intense race for the Snitch.

Tufts vs. Harvard (3-0)

In their opening scrimmage, Tufts put on a show in front of the home crowd in defeating the Harvard Quidditch team in all 3 games played. Harvard put up a good fight, but with Tufts Domination of the Chaser game as well as crucial Snitch Grabs, Tufts was able to pull away each game and win.
