AU Report of Summit Meeting between Bashir and Kiir
On January 4 – 5, 2013, Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir and South Sudanese Presdent Salva Kiir met in Addis Ababa for a summit meeting to discuss the remaining issues between the two countries. Also present were Ethiopian Prime Minister, Haile Mariam Desaiegn and former South African President Thabo Mbkei. Among the topics they discussed were Abyei, border issues, and the status of existing agreements. I think South Sudan should not waste her time by opting always to peace talks whichproduce no fruit most of the time. South Sudan must realise the Sudan tactics of buying time to strengthen and prepare her army for war against the news Nation. South Sudan should opt and look for alternatives
