The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy Open Access Guidelines

Applicant pool will include

  • Member of the full faculty (half time or more with a multiyear contract)
  • Institutional affiliation of the author (creator) associated with the article (project) in question must be Fletcher/Tufts

Approval

Applicant will send a note to Jeff Kosokoff (Director of Ginn Library & Information Technology)

  1. Jeff will verify (1) applicant is a full faculty member and (2) applicant affirms that the institutional affiliation to be used will be Fletcher/Tufts.
  2. If the criteria are met, Jeff will send the application along to the appropriate university committee.
  3. Either way, Jeff will inform the Academic Dean of how the application has been handled.

For open access, the note will include:

  1. name
  2. title
  3. contact information
  4. indication that applicant is a full faculty member
  5. indication that the institutional affiliation to be used by applicant will be Fletcher/Tufts
  6. title of article
  7. journal in which it will be published
  8. amount of money needed to ensure article’s open access

For digitization, the note will include:

  1. name
  2. title
  3. contact information
  4. indication that applicant is a full faculty member
  5. indication that the institutional affiliation to be used by applicant will be Fletcher/Tufts
  6. brief description of material
  7. description of what needs to be done
  8. estimate of the amount of money needed for digitization
  9. indication of the amount of money being asked for
