SPEAC Members

We are welcoming 5 new members and 2 returning members to the team this upcoming school year!

Bianca Blakesley is a junior majoring in Clinical Psychology. In addition to being a second year member of SPEAC, she is also a Tisch Scholar and ACE fellow. This year she plans to work in Tufts’ Diversity and Intergroup Relations lab, exploring research that examines peoples’ behavior in interracial contexts. She casually enjoys creative writing, terrible pop music and sloths.

Bryn is a junior studying Anthropology and Community Health. This is her second year as a SPEAC member. She is a proud member of the Tufts Women’s Rugby team, and is the team treasurer this year. Bryn is also interested in gender studies and racial inequality issues. She hopes to one day buy a one-way plane ticket without planning what’s ahead.

CJ is a sophomore studying Sociology and Peace and Justice Studies. He’s into music, fashion, Anna’s Taqueria and late-night bike rides (usually to Anna’s Taqueria). In his career and his life, he would like to advance domestic and international human rights. He would like to work in the fields of environmental sustainability, human trafficking, corporate responsibility, and/or LGBT discrimination.

Stephen Goeman is a senior majoring in Philosophy and Cognitive and Brain Sciences. He is also the Community Outreach Representative of the Tufts Freethought Society. His interests include Batman, Secular Humanism, and interfaith cooperation.

Taylor Strelevitz a sophomore, Child Development and Biology double major. In addition to SPEAC, she is a Tisch summer fellow and a member of Team Q.

Victoria Wang is a sophomore from Changsha, China, who is majoring in psychology and minoring in women studies. She loves music and books and movies, loves love and food and roundness, loves the folk, loves herself, regardless.

Sophie Wolfe is a sophomore majoring in child development and clinical psychology. She has a passion for working with children and has worked with Tufts Jumpstart and Freedom School Partners to provide better education for low income youth. She enjoys traveling and getting to know different kinds of people. She loves to run and plans to run the Boston Marathon!
