What is It?

Trunk is Tufts’ new online environment designed to facilitate teaching, learning, and assessment at Tufts. The use of Trunk will enable the sharing of knowledge and new models of collaboration within and across disciplines, at Tufts and beyond.

Trunk offers two types of sites, Course and Project. Course sites are automatically created based on Tufts Student Information System (SIS) and are currently available on the Medford campus. If your courses are officially registered at SIS, you will have access to your courses and registered students already. Project sites are available for all Tufts users. Not only can you create project sites on your own to teach your courses but also use them for any other scholarly activities including grant-funded research projects, scholarly collaborations, dissertation and tenure review committees, and departmental meetings.

Trunk is being implemented university-wide in three phases. To learn more about the Trunk Implementation Phases and its availability at your school, click here.

  • Content Creation and Distribution
