Walk/Ride Day with Lieutenant Governor Timothy Murray and MBTA Acting General Manager Jonathan Davis

When: Friday, Sept. 30 6:55 am

Where: Worcester Commuter Rail

Lieutenant Governor Timothy Murray and MBTA Acting General Manager Jonathan Davis will participate in Walk/Ride Day by riding the 6:55 commuter rail from Worcester to Boston. At South Station, they and other VIPs will welcome commuters. There will also be exhibitors, music and refreshments.

Oct. 1 Somerville Community Growing Center’s 17th Annual Harvest Festival

When: Saturday, Oct 1st 1pm to 5:30pm

Where: 22 Vinal Ave Somerville, MA 02143

The Friends of the Somerville Community Growing Center invites friends old and new to come celebrate this year’s bounty at our 17th annual Harvest Festival.Attendees of all ages are invited to participate in apple pressing, butter making, pumpkin decorating, and nature activities for kids from 1-4pm. Music from the Gloucester Hornpipe and Clog Society will entertain guests from 4-5:30pm.
