    UPDATE from Contest organizers:

As a result of overwhelming interest and excellent feedback, we have decided to open up the competition to accept more than three nominees from each school, and more than just video submissions. Here are the changes you should be aware of:

You can nominate as many students from your school as you’d like.

Students can nominate themselves and friends.

You can submit notes, resumes, projects, multimedia or any other materials that reflect the individual’s commitment to energy efficiency.

Nominees can be anywhere between the ages of 16 and 26, so think beyond college students, too!

The nomination deadline has been extended to January 31, 2012.

We made these changes because you asked for them! Now, you can spread the word on campus and help get more eco-stars involved. Tell anyone who would be interested in nominating a friend or themselves to visit http://www.AmericasNextEcoStar.com to participate.
