The successful candidate will work primarily within New Ecology’s energy efficiency program, which works to improve the efficiency of existing buildings by analyzing historical energy use, evaluating building systems, and researching the cost/benefit of potential improvements. More specifically the intern will assist in benchmarking the energy performance of buildings; assist in analyzing building performance; assist in evaluation of potential energy efficiency improvements such as building weatherization, HVAC improvements, water conservation measures, and installation of renewable energy systems; assist in preparation of funding applications to support implementation of energy efficiency improvements; and complete other duties as assigned.
