Intern responsibilities include: Develop concepts to re-create “The Gateway to Cape Ann” that was lost when Route 128 built and then widened. The intern will complete the following tasks: 1. Review property ownership and current uses to help establish a study boundary area 2. Map out existing trails, access points and parking areas within the study area including field walks with a hand-held GPS unit 3. Produce an existing conditions report 4. Propose ideas and concepts to re-connect properties and for gateway areas. Duration of internship is from Sept 2012 to April 2013 for an $800 stipend. Direct inquiries to: swinslow@gloucester-ma.gov.
