Transportation Planning Intern (Cambridge, MA)

The selected candidate will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks with a focus on the transportation planning in general, including the traffic calming program, bicycle/pedestrian studies, bicycle parking program, the Parking & Transportation Demand Management program and other projects as needed. In addition, the candidate will provide basic administrative support to these programs and other activities as needed in the division. Internship, Congress for the New Urbanism (Boston)

CNU New England (CNUNE) is one of 15 regional Chapters of the national advocacy organization known as the Congress for the New Urbanism.

2 positions are available:

–CNUNE is seeking an energetic and motivated individual to help the Executive Committee fundraise an additional $15,000 for its annual operating budget. This is a tremendous opportunity to develop leadership and management skills, to learn about the non-profit sector and urban planning industry, to champion a worthwhile cause, and to connect with passionate and talented people from across disciplines! –The Programming Intern would assist the Executive Committee in developing and implementing an event series for 2013-2014, managing (a) event logistics, and (b) event marketing, including development of graphic materials and collateral. The Intern would also assist the Executive Committee with (c) managing the Chapter’s online presence and social media accounts and (d) general administrative support for the Executive Committee where needed.
