Toward the end of creating a community-wide culture and practice of environmental mindfulness, the Director of Sustainability Initiatives and Education is responsible for developing programs, advocating for sustainability practices and facilitating interaction and collaboration between and among students and various groups on campus. The Coordinator will identify, promote and monitor co-curricular sustainability initiatives, support faculty in curricular initiatives, conduct and manage assessments, and disseminate information related to sustainability efforts.

This position provides project management for clients wishing to certify their residential and commercial buildings through different green building rating systems. Projects may include certifications in various LEED rating systems, National Green Building Standard, ENERGY STAR, and Enterprise Green Communities, among others. An undergraduate four-year degree in engineering, environmental design, construction management, architecture, or other related fields is required; and four years of full-time professional experience (preferably in multi-family residential design or construction) is preferred. An additional graduate degree(s) in a building related field is useful. The successful candidate must be or become a Certified HERS Rater and a LEED for Homes Green Rater. Learn more/apply.
