Under the direction of the Dean, Technology and Applied Sciences provides overall support and assistance through the coordination of daily operations of the assigned areas: Quality Engineering and Energy Engineering Technologies, Renewable Energy, Sustainable Facilities Operations, HVAC and Power Engineering programs. Managing courses associated with programs in ECAM and the MATC Solar Farm; supervises faculty and staff; provides leadership direction and support in collaboration with the Dean; manage grant-funded initiatives; maintains program currency; develops programs and curriculum to meet the needs and interests of students, business, and the community.

The University of Florida Office of Sustainability is seeking an Outreach and Communications Coordinator. This Coordinator promotes sustainability on campus through the effective and creative communication of sustainability principles, campus sustainability initiatives, and institutional best practices in ways that engage and motivate the full range of the campus community (faculty, staff, students) and the community-at-large. In addition, the Coordinator will be required to collaboratively oversee the creation of behavior change campaigns targeting all members of the campus community (faculty, staff, students) that show progress toward campus-wide sustainability goals and commitments. The Coordinator will be expected to be a strong member of a collaborative team within the Office of Sustainability working to be both a resource and inspiration for the campus community as it works to make the University of Florida a model and national leader in sustainability.
The Sustainability Coordinator works collaboratively with administration, faculty, staff, and students to develop, coordinate, and promote effective sustainability initiatives to reduce the University’s impact on the environment. Responsibilities include educating the University community about sustainability and coordinating campus programming and activities related to sustainability, performing research about sustainability, and annual reporting.
The Graduate School of Design (GSD) at Harvard University is currently looking for a full-time Research Associate to join the research team of a project funded by the Volvo Research and Educational Foundation, titled “Transforming Urban Transport – The Role of Political Leadership (TUT-RPL)”. The candidate will work under the supervision of project director Diane Davis, Professor of Urbanism and Development at the GSD, and in collaboration with an international advisory board chaired by Professor Alan Altshuler (Harvard) that also includes David Banister (Oxford) Robert Cervero (Berkeley), Ralph Gakenheimer (MIT), Barbara Kellerman (Harvard), Patrick Le Gales (Sciences Po), and Jay Walder (Hong Kong).
