The Wild Center seeks Summer Naturalists to work with our dynamic education staff at a world class museum in the heart of the Adirondack Park. Summer Naturalist Interns will have the responsibility of leading experiences in natural history interpretation, experiential education, school programs, and developing interpretive programming for a diverse audience. In addition to teaching, Interns will assist staff with daily operations, including maintenance and development of education materials, and more.
Hudson River Park Trust (Trust) is seeking a full-time Environmental Educator to administer and implement Hudson River Park’s environmental education programs, and to assist with various environmental stewardship projects and other Environment and Education (E&E) Department activities as necessary.

Environmental Education Internship: We are seeking a highly self-motivated, detail-oriented, individual to implement nature-oriented summer camps and educational programs for general visitors, groups, and members. Focus will be centered on developing and executing WCRWR’s Summer Camp Programs. Interns will be responsible for keeping a portfolio of their lesson plans. Other assignments will include performing education programs (day camp, school programs, public demonstrations, etc.); assisting in developing new programs, aiding in research for programs and creating exhibits; assisting with special events, and all other aspects of the Refuge. We are seeking one on-site (live-in) intern and one off-site (commuting) intern. DEADLINE: March 31, 2014
Wildlife Care Internship: We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, individual to work in our rehabilitation hospital. Interns will deal directly with the public bringing in animals and will also assist with direct animal care and our environmental enrichment program. Assignments will include; feeding, cleaning and otherwise providing care for injured and orphaned wildlife (this includes dishes and laundry); answering the telephone and giving information; returning animal concern phone calls; greeting people with incoming animals; assisting with special events, and all other aspects of the Refuge. We are seeking one on-site intern and one off-site intern. DEADLINE: March 31, 2014
