Program Manager, Livable Memphis, Community Development Council of Greater Memphis

Volunteer at PV America on June 23-25, 2014 in Boston!

Volunteers at PV America (PVA) have the unique and exciting opportunity to play an active role in New England’s largest education and business-to-business event, focused on the PV solar market. It takes a diverse group of volunteers to support our goals – we hope you can join us! Volunteers will work approximately 15 hours between Monday, June 23 and Wednesday, June 25, and in exchange, will receive a complimentary Full Conference Registration Pass including access to educational sessions; the Exhibit Hall; General Session; and networking receptions and lunches.
 
The Volunteer Application will be available in late January, and positions will be filled on a rolling basis.

Graduate Research Assistantship, Plymouth State University (NH)

Plymouth State University (PSU), Plymouth, NH, is inviting applications for its MS program in Environmental Science and Policy (ESP). The MS in ESP is coordinated by PSU’s Department of ESP, College of Graduate Studies (COGS), and the Center for the Environment (CFE). Students will have opportunities to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams of faculty, students, and scientists from other academic, governmental, and non-governmental organizations such as the Hubbard Brook Experimental Forest, White Mountains National Forest, and NH Department of Environmental Services.Students accepted to PSU’s MS in ESP may be eligible for graduate research assistantships (GRA).

Programs Director, MassBike

MassBike, the Massachusetts Bicycle Coalition, is seeking a full-time Programs Director. MassBike has dramatically expanded its program offerings, with a focus on education and technical assistance. The Programs Director is directly responsible for the Bikeable Communities Program, and also oversees the Education Program. The Bikeable Communities Programs includes advocacy, Complete Streets, and other bicycle-related trainings; bikeability assessments; bicycle planning assistance; public outreach assistance; research; and mapping. MassBike is involved in communities across the state, with a particular focus on underserved communities and neighborhoods. The Programs Director reports to the Executive Director and supervises the program staff (currently two full-time staff and occasional program interns).

Project Development Specialist, Food and Agriculture Organization

DEADLINE: December 18, 2013

As part of FAO’s expanding portfolio of forestry projects in the Pacific, we are seeking to hire a project development specialist to prepare two projects in Vanuatu and the Solomon Islands. Both projects will include a mix of sustainable forest and land management, forest conservation, community forest management, forest carbon monitoring and rural development. These multi-focal area projects will be supported with funding from the Global Environment Facility (GEF), so experience with GEF Project policies and procedures would be a definite advantage, as would knowledge and experience of forestry issues in the Pacific.
