Deadline: March 15, 2014

The Forest Stewardship Council is seeking a consultant to explore the feasibility of carbon storage as a High Conservation Value. In 2011, the General Assembly requested FSC to explore the feasibility and wider implications of including natural ecosystems with globally, regionally and/or nationally significant amounts of carbon stored in vegetation and soil as a High Conservation Value. In order to implement this motion, the PSU Ecosystem Services program is now seeking a consultant that will provide recommendations on the different options available to identify, monitor and assess High Carbon Density forests in accordance with FSC Principle 9. All submissions should be sent to Gregory Jean, Ecosystem Services Policy manager (g.jean@fsc.org).
