Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), widely recognized as the nation’s premier nonprofit community development intermediary, has a 35-year history of investing in community-based organizations focused on rebuilding urban neighborhoods and rural communities. Boston LISC has a thirty year history of supporting successful community development efforts in Boston and surrounding communities.

Boston LISC accomplishes our mission by deploying a variety of financial tools including loans, grants, and equity investments to support community development efforts. We also provide technical and management assistance to bring a business discipline to implement successful community revitalization efforts.

Responsibilities:

We are looking for a dynamic Assistant Program Officer (APO) that will fill a variety of roles at Boston LISC, including working with the Senior Program Officer for the Green Retrofit Initiative to help affordable housing owners understand energy use in their buildings and work toward implementing energy-saving retrofits. The APO will organize Green Retrofit Initiative network meetings, workshops and forums, work closely with the Initiative’s consultants and partners, and support participating organizations to ensure program goals are met.
