Spanish-speaking Intern, Secure Fisheries (Broomfield, CO)

Secure Fisheries seeks a full-time Spanish-speaking fisheries science intern to help us scope a new project in Colombia promoting food and economic security through sustainable fisheries. The intern will conduct research on the sustainability of Colombian fisheries. The intern will create a bibliography of resources, and write a review paper of her/his findings. The intern will additionally create a summary of projects in Colombia, including but not limited to those led by non-governmental organizations, the government, and aid projects.

Internship would run 3-6 months with full or part time options available depending on candidate availabiltiy.

The Social Media Intern for The KITCHEN at the Boston Public Market will be responsible for shaping the KITCHEN’s social media presence with creative and consistent content with the goal of engaging visitors in the broader work of The Trustees and the Boston Public Market. The ideal applicant will be energetic, motivated, and comfortable working in a self-directed and fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and writing skills are required. Interest in local food, cooking, health, environment, historic preservation, visitor engagement, land management, and/or non-profits is encouraged. Applicants must be tech-savvy and familiar with the major social media marketing platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, or be willing and able to learn on the job.

Editorial Intern, Boston Public Market (Boston, MA)

The Editorial Intern for the KITCHEN at the Boston Public Market will be responsible for creating a weekly blog post that highlights KITCHEN activities and events with the goal of engaging visitors in the broader work of The Trustees and the Boston Public Market. The Intern will be expected to both write content and coordinate guest bloggers, which will include scheduling future blog posts according to the editorial calendar and editing and finalizing guest posts.

Fall 2016 Internship, Boston Community Gardens

The Boston Community Gardens Intern will play a key role in the day to day operations of one the Trustees most diverse selection of properties. The Boston Region includes a total of 60 special places; 56 Community Gardens 4 reservations. With 215,000 annual visitors, the Community Gardens portfolio has a huge impact on the profile of the Trustees in Boston. The Gardens are living, growing refuges in otherwise built, urban neighborhoods. They are gathering spaces in their communities, providing people with access to fresh food and a direct connection to the earth.

Public Relations Internship, The Trustees (Boston, MA)

Responsibilities
• Assist with press clip creation and reporting, including audience figure research
• Assist with maintenance of media database and targeted list development
• Research editorial opportunities at long lead and short lead media outlets (local, regional and national)
• Research and draft pitches to target media
• Support day to day needs of department and occasionally support staff onsite at PR events in the Boston and Greater Boston area
