13th Annual Henry W. Kendall Memorial Lecture: How Air Pollution Affects Climate & What We Can Do About It

You are cordially invited to attend the 13th Annual Henry W. Kendall Memorial Lecture, to be held on October 21 at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Reservations are not required. A reception will follow the lecture. Please check the MIT website for event details.

This year’s talk will be given by Dr. Drew Shindell, senior scientist at the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies. Dr. Shindell will discuss the role of aerosols and ozone emissions in climate change and how reducing air pollutant emissions can benefit the climate and human health.

The Henry Kendall Memorial Lecture Series honors the memory of Professor Henry Kendall (1926-1999), who was the J.A. Stratton professor of physics at MIT. Kendall received the Nobel Prize in 1990 for research that provided the first experimental evidence for quarks. A founding member of the Union of Concerned Scientists in 1969, he served as its chair for 25 years.
