Boston Tells Obama: No Keystone XL

June 12, 2013 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

On Wednesday, President Obama is coming to Boston for an Ed Markey fundraiser. We want to be there with a positive message: Obama, follow Markey’s lead and reject the Keystone XL pipeline!

The bigger our crowd, the bigger our message to the President will be.

Here are the details:

What: Boston Tells Obama: No KXL!
When: Wednesday, June 12, 9 AM
Where: Outside the Reggie Lewis Track & Field Athletic Center, 1350 Tremont St, Roxbury Crossing

During the Senate Democratic Primary in Massachussetts, Markey repeatedly voiced his opposition to the Keystone XL pipeline, which played a part in his victory. Now it’s the President’s chance to make a decision about tar sands. Let’s let the President know that he should follow Markey’s lead on climate and reject the Keystone Tar Sands Pipeline!

350 organizers have met the President at nearly all of his public events across the country over the past several weeks — including trips overseas, from Israel to Costa Rica. Together, we can show President Obama that Boston is more fired up and ready to go than ever to fight the pipeline!

We will have signs, banners, and chant leaders, just bring yourself and get ready to make some noise.

This is one of the best ways you can show the President that Keystone XL is a bad idea. These events are always lots of fun, and high energy, so invite your friends, neighbors and co-workers to take an hour to stop the pipeline on Wednesday. Click here to RSVP
