Just in time for Tu BiShevat- the Jewish New Year of the Trees – this food justice-themed Shabbat will focus on local eating, sustainable practices, and the labor involved in food production.
At 5:00pm, we will hold a workshop and discussion on sustainable food practices and local eating.
At 6:00, Shabbat services will commence, with a D’var Torah (sermon) on Judaism and the environment.
Finally, at 7:15, we will enjoy a delicious meal of exciting locally sourced dishes, featuring food from Tufts campus, and also Tufts sustainability organizations and initiatives.
With any questions or to RSVP, please contact Kit Collins or Adina Allen, our Rabbinic intern, at adina.allen@gmail.com.
