In honor of Bay State Bike Week, the Harvard Film Archive presents a free screening of a comedy about a cyclist.

2 SECONDS (Manon Briand, Canada, 1998) 35mm, color, in French with English subtitles. Unrated. 100 minutes (and 2 seconds).

This fun and charming French Canadian comedy has a lot to recommend it to the cycling community – not the least of which is a that is shows a lot of bicycle riding!

Pixie-ish lesbian Laurie is a professional mountain bike racer who is in crisis when she loses her job after losing a race. Never one to give up, she gets right back up on that bike and moves to Montreal to work as a bike courier where she befriends an older Italian cyclist.

This film is brought to you by your cycling pals at the Harvard Film Archive and is free and open to the public. Covered bicycle parking is available.
