Tufts Food for Thought is hosting a series of events throughout Food Week, from October 22-26! Join them in celebrating National Food Day on Wednesday, October 24th, learn more about the connections between you and your food! Events will include the following:
Monday – 10/22
- Tabling in Campus Center: Rate your WOOFing experience and sign food-related petitions! 12 – 1:15 pm
- Tour of Student Garden between South Hall and Latin Way: 12pm
- Harvard Science & Cooking Lecture with Wylie Dufresne: Take the T to Harvard for 7pm show
Tuesday – 10/23
- Food Chain Quiz Game: 12 – 2 pm, Tisch Library lower patio
- CAFE presents “Food, Faith, and Traditions”: discussion and dinner 6:30 pm at the Bayit (98 Packard Ave.)
- Mindfulness Eating Experience & Food for Thought meeting: 7:30 – 9 pm, Eaton 206
Wednesday – 10/24 (NATIONAL FOOD DAY!)
- Davis Square Farmer’s Market tour: 12 – 1:15 pm
- Tabling in Campus Center: Rate your WOOFing experience and sign food-related petitions! 12 – 1:15 pm
- Story of Bananas Dinner at Dewick: 5 – 8 pm
- Dumpster Diving 101: 10:30 pm discussion at the Crafts House
Thursday – 10/25

- Eating Steel: The Green Revolution and its Alternative in India:
5-6:30pm in Rabb Room, Lincoln Filene Center
- Tufts Culinary Society teaches seasonal cooking techniques: Learn how to make butternut squash pasta and apple crisp!

- “Gathering from Past Harvests, What does it take to feed the next generation?” Discuss lessons from American agricultural history with Tim Griffin (Friedman School) and Judith Broggi (Minute Man National Park): 7 pm in East 016
