Fracking: The Facts and Issues

The panel will be moderated by Pallavi Phartiyal, Ph.D., senior analyst and program manager, Center for Science and Democracy, Union of Concerned Scientists, and will include:

  • Aaron Bernstein, MD, MPH, associate director, Center for Health and the Global Environment, Harvard School of Public Health; physician in medicine, Children’s Hospital Boston; instructor in pediatrics, Harvard Medical School;
  • William Moomaw, Ph.D., professor of international environmental policy and director, Center for International Environment and Resource Policy, Tufts University’s Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy; and
  • Andrew Rosenberg, Ph.D., director, Center for Science and Democracy, Union of Concerned Scientists.
This event is co-sponsored by Science for the Public, Cambridge Public Library, and the Union of Concerned Scientists. The panel presentation will be followed by an audience Q&A session.
