Hillel is hosting Tu B’Shabbat: a Shabbat centered on the holiday of Tu B’Shvat. This holiday reminds us of our responsibility to protect our environment and give food to the hungry. For Tu B’Shabbat we will be hosting a discussion at 5:15 about Judaism’s connection to environmentalism and world hunger. At 6:15, there will be Shabbat services which will feature various texts related to these issues. And at 7:15, there will be a delicious dinner made with the seven traditional foods of Tu B’Shvat.
