Second Nature seeks the services of a Program Associate to join the ACUPCC Program Team and assist in recruitment, implementation, and outreach related to the ACUPCC network. This position places a strong emphasis on supporting the capacity of Minority-Serving Institutions (MSIs) and Under-Resourced Institutions (URIs), as well as other colleges and universities, to advance comprehensive sustainability education and climate initiatives on campus.

The Director of ACUPCC Initiatives will lead outreach, implementation, and fundraising for the American College & University Presidents’ Climate Commitment (ACUPCC) as well as oversee the strategic capacity-building efforts supporting minority-serving and under-resourced institutions. In collaboration with the ACUPCC Steering Committee and the Director of Presidential Fellows Program, the Director will lead the strategic planning process for expanding the impact and success of these programs and establishing new opportunities to support climate action at signatory institutions. The Director will participate in organizational strategic planning and development to strengthen cross-program synergies along with other Second Nature program directors. In addition, the Director will lead the partnership activities with external organizations supporting ACUPCC reporting, marketing, and resource development functions.
