Citi Sustainability Internship – Citi Bank (New York, NY)

Overview: Will provide programmatic and research support to a three-person team in Citi’s Corporate Sustainability unit, which oversees environmental and human rights issues for Citi. Citi’s Corporate Sustainability program is implemented in partnership with Citi’s three primary units: Institutional Clients Group, Consumer Banking, and Operations & Technology.

Job Responsibilities:
-Provide strategic and research support for Citi’s employee volunteer Green Team program.
- Support the unit’s strategic planning process through research and development of presentations
- Provide support to develop Citi’s energy efficiency initiative, including helping to identify potential thought leadership opportunities
- Provide programmatic, research and logistical support on other program initiatives and events

Qualifications:
- Current student or recent graduate of an MBA, MPA, or similar program
- Knowledge of environmental issues as they impact business
- Excellent attention to detail, well organized
- Flexible team player
- Ability to adjust deliverables to match evolving corporate priorities
- Strong written and oral communications skills
- Excels in a high performance environment, with quick turn-arounds and changing priorities

Business Development Internship – Green City Growers (Boston, MA)

Green City Growers, Massachusetts’ premiere vegetable gardening business, is seeking an intern for spring 2013. GCG specializes in raised-bed garden installations, maintenance, and education for residential, business, restaurant and community locations. We are a small business (6 full time staff), and operate out of Union Square in Somerville.

GCG is seeking a positive, driven individual interested in immersing themselves in a growing business. Your time at GCG will be focused on sales, marketing, and business development. You will learn many aspects of running a small business. If you are looking to gain a wide variety of professional experience, this internship is for you. Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Creating and executing newsletters
  • Blogging and utilizing social networks
  • Emailing and following up on sales leads
  • Assistance in scheduling and coordinating workshops out of the GCG Office space
  • Attending and finding events
  • Track and analyze marketing data
  • Aid in the development of new sales techniques

The position will last until the end of May. The internship is part time (2-3 days a week). Candidates will only be considered if they can commit to the position until the end of May.

Public Relations and Marketing Intern – Green Salem Business Challenge (Salem, MA)

The Green Salem (MA) Business Challenge (GSBC) seeks an intern who is passionate about green initiatives and improving sustainability practices with a demonstrated flair for public relations, communications, and marketing.

The ideal candidate will bring excellent written and oral communication skills, experience writing press releases and using a variety of media platforms (including social media) to disseminate the GSBC message and to increase participation in the program. The GSBC intern must be able to commit to 10 to 15 hours per month for a period of six months with a start date in September 2012. S/he must have good project management skills and the ability to work in a deadline sensitive environment.
