Oversee operation of the multi-farmer World PEAS Food Hub distributing fresh, locally-grown produce throughout the Merrimack Valley and Boston area. Operations include a 400-share Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program, multiple wholesale accounts and a variety of community partnerships serving low-income and food insecure individuals. Goals include growth of the operation by expanding market channels and diversifying CSA offerings, increasing number of food access partnerships and establishing an institutional marketing program.

Tufts students, staff, and faculty are invited to share their ideas about improving the Hillside business district and surrounding neighborhood and helping to shape its future. The Business and Economic Development Committee of Mayor Burke’s Transition Team will be hosting a a community meeting to promote discussion on these critical topics.

Luther College is currently accepting applications for the position of Food and Farm Fellow in the Center for Sustainable Communities. This is a ten month, full-time, 40 hour/week, position starting February 1, 2016 and ending November 30, 2016. This Fellow will be responsible for day to day operations at the college farm, including student supervision, management of the community garden and carrying out plans for the 2016 season. Additional responsibilities will include marketing and communication, coordinating volunteer opportunities and tours, managing logistics for the Cafeteria to Community Program, implementing composting initiatives, coordinating food education classes and other duties as assigned.
