MIT’s Office of Sustainability is seeking a student Sustainability Fellow to assist in researching, developing, analyzing and refining a suite of sustainability metrics and analytic tools to assist in the quantification, assessment, and communication of MIT’s current sustainability activities.
Data will be related to campus energy, water, waste, food, transportation, procurement, buildings, and more.
This position will be full-time for summer 2014 (8-10 weeks, June-August). Specific start/end dates and hours will be finalized upon hire. Pay ranges from $12-$17/hour depending on student level and ability. Open to both MIT and non-MIT students.
Tufts Technology Services group is seeking responsible students who would like to help support the GIS Center. We are hiring for Fall 2013 semester. 8-15 hours of work per week, between 10am and 5pm. Pay: $12 per hour. The job will entail GIS metadata development, checking and data loading into a spatial database engine/SQL in support of Tuft Geospatial data repository. The Town of Concord seeks a qualified applicant to intern with the Division of Natural Resources. Under the general supervision of the Natural Resources Director, the successful candidate will review and update existing Excel databases and assist with the general organization of office files, maps, and plans.
Candidate must be able to interpret legal documents, organize data in spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel, and maintain organizes logs and spreadsheets. Familiarity with Orders of Conditions issued under the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act, property and plan information, and a working knowledge of the Middlesex Registry of Deeds online database is desired.
