Funding is available for a graduate student to work with a faculty member in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and a community partner, Alternatives for Community & Environment (ACE) in Boston. The project involves monitoring air quality before and during construction activities in Roxbury to measure the impacts on air quality in downwind neighborhoods. Plymouth State University (PSU), Plymouth, NH, is inviting applications for its MS program in Environmental Science and Policy (ESP). The MS in ESP is coordinated by PSU’s Department of ESP, College of Graduate Studies (COGS), and the Center for the Environment (CFE). The ARPA-E Energy Innovation Summit gathers energy leaders in academia, business, and government to work towards moving cutting-edge energy technologies into the marketplace. Hosted by the US Department of Energy’s Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy in Washington DC, this summit will include over 150 expert speakers and keynote addresses and a showcase featuring more than 280 breakthrough energy technologies. A bipartisan group of US Senators and Representatives will also be in attendance.
The Student Program is an opportunity for graduate students to attend the Summit, participate in additional student-focused panel sessions, and network with corporate recruiters. Accepted students will have their registration fee waived but must make their own travel and hotel accommodations.
