Campus Planning Intern – Lesley University (Cambridge, MA)

Lesley University is seeking two graduate interns to assist its Department of Operations and Campus Planning, located in Porter Square, Cambridge, MA, to fulfill a number of campus planning goals. The interns will work alongside University planning staff to help complete the development and design of the University’s campus plan. The ideal candidate will be an architecture, urban planning and design or real estate development graduate student with excellent research and technical skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills. Good knowledge of MS Office software suite (especially Excel), CAD, Photoshop or InDesign a must. The positions salary is $20/hour for a 14 week period, 10 hours per week. Campus Sustainability Council Administrative Intern (Medford, MA)

President Monaco recently announced the formation of a President’s Campus Sustainability Council to assess the goals and aspirations for next level of campus sustainability at Tufts. The council will be made up of a small group of faculty, staff and students. In addition, there will be three working groups, consisting of experts in the field, one each for water, waste and energy. The intern will work  the Sustainability Council and working groups to set up meetings and reserve rooms, send out meeting reminders and follow-ups, take and write-up meeting minutes, maintain a Wiki and webpage and conduct research. The Intern may also work with the Eco-Ambassadors, a staff program designed to promote sustainability in the department and administrative offices at Tufts. This is a great opportunity to see the inner workings of sustainability action!

Requirements: Applicants must be reliable, courteous, responsive and very professional. Organizational skills, excellent note-taking and event organizational skills are imperative. This position is only open to Tufts students who are studying at the graduate level. Work-study or non-work-study students are welcome. 15 hours per week anticipated.
