Conservation Program Associate, The Helmsley Charitable Trust (NYC)

The Program Associate will work closely with the other members of the Conservation Program team to develop and manage a grants program of $15 million+ annually. The Program Associate will help manage all administrative components of the grantmaking process, especially tasks associated with managing grant lifecycles; tracking program budget and periodically reconciling it with parallel systems; ensuring accurate payment and accounting of grants; helping to plan and execute complex program-related meetings and travel; and maintaining positive and proactive communication with grantees The position is based at the Trust’s main office in New York City. The Campus Network – New Economics Institute

Deadline: 12/15/2012

The New Economics Institute seeks proposals for strategic summits on the transition to a just and sustainable economy, coordinated and hosted by University students in collaboration with community organizations and faculty partners.

Eight grants of up to $5,000 will be awarded to students at North American colleges and universites. In addition to financial support, we are also committed to helping you make your vision a reality with trainings, access to our networks, and on-going consultation. Students and their organizing committees are encouraged to raise additional funds necessary from their host institutions and/or through a variety of other creative means.

$65,000 Award Opportunity for Students, Faculty and Universities

Beginning on January 2, 2012, The Odebrecht Award for Sustainable Development will begin accepting entries from undergraduate students in all engineering fields, architecture, building and construction management, and chemistry. 
 
By submitting a paper that outlines contributions to sustainability, students have an opportunity to win $65,000 in cash prizes for themselves, faculty advisors and Tufts.
