Miami-Dade Project Recruiting Manager – ioby (Miami, FL)

ioby (eye-OH-be) stands for in our backyards and the belief that environmental knowledge, action and service begin and thrive at the local level. Founded in 2008, ioby is a young, dynamic startup and the only online micro-philanthropic initiative that encourages local civic environmental action among neighbors. ioby is expanding and looking for a talented, motivated individual to lead their efforts in project outreach, support and capacity building for their Miami pilot.  Requirements: demonstrated contextual knowledge of environmental work and community development, and an intimate knowledge of Miami-Dade neighborhoods and their socio-economic-environmental landscape, and 3-6 years of professional experience in a related field, such as urban ecology, grassroots fundraising and/or community organizing. Communications Intern – Our Bodies Ourselves (Cambridge, MA)

Our Bodies Ourselves, a nonprofit women’s health education and advocacy organization, seeks an intern or work-study student to work 8-12 hours per week on a variety of social media and communications tasks. The internship can be done either onsite at the OBOS office in Cambridge or off site. The position is open beginning fall or winter 2012. Sustainability Communications and Marketing Manager (Amherst, MA)

As a member of the UMass Amherst University Relations team, the manager will lead Communication and Marketing (C&M) efforts to advance the Universitys reputation as a global leader in sustainability. The manager will be responsible for implementation of the UMass Amherst Green Visibility Campaign, a three-year effort to establish the University as a national leader in sustainable-related teaching, research, and campus life.

Minimum Qualifications: Masters degree with two years experience in communications and marketing and three years experience directly related to issues of sustainability; or B.A. with seven years C&M experience and five years experience related to issues of sustainability, such as energy efficiency strategies or behavior change campaign techniques; experience applying marketing principles, concepts, strategies and best practices; strong written and interpersonal communication skills, including presentation and group facilitation skills; record of successfully applying concepts and principles of digital media and social media strategies, metrics and tactics; ability to creatively apply tools to reach communication and marketing goals; technical skills in computer applications for web publishing; ability to communicate with, motivate and support diverse working groups; ability to work efficiently and effectively in a team structure with other professionals and vendors.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a higher education environment, launching and managing marketing or promotional campaigns, and with Drupal.

The manager is a term position, for a period of three years, with the possibility of extension.

Hiring Salary Range: $47,400 – $60,000

Normal Starting Salary Range: $47,400 – $53,700
