The Department of Energy’s EERE Science and Technology Policy (STP) Fellowships will serve as the next step in the educational and professional development of leaders in energy efficiency and renewable energy, providing an opportunity for scientists and engineers with relevant energy technology experience to participate in research, development, demonstration, (RD&D) and analysis projects at DOE’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, Geothermal Technologies Office (GTO), in Washington, D.C.
Under the direction of the Dean, Technology and Applied Sciences provides overall support and assistance through the coordination of daily operations of the assigned areas: Quality Engineering and Energy Engineering Technologies, Renewable Energy, Sustainable Facilities Operations, HVAC and Power Engineering programs. Managing courses associated with programs in ECAM and the MATC Solar Farm; supervises faculty and staff; provides leadership direction and support in collaboration with the Dean; manage grant-funded initiatives; maintains program currency; develops programs and curriculum to meet the needs and interests of students, business, and the community.

The selected candidate will be an experienced practitioner and project manager capable of supporting the often simultaneous needs of a diverse set of clients and tasks. The Department of Energy Resources (DOER) is responsible for implementing the state’s Renewable and Alternative Energy Portfolio Standard (RPS and APS) programs, which includes the RPS Solar Carve-Out. As part of these programs, DOER collects from time to time Alternative Compliance Payments (ACP) which are used to further the clean energy goals. DOER is looking to hire an ACP Energy Fellow. The Fellow’s contributions will primarily in support of the RPS Solar Carve-Out program, providing data management, application review and processing, communications with applicants and stakeholders, and general market analyses.
