Come join Tufts in welcoming Anand Gupta, Deputy Manager of Strategy at ReNew Power, to campus on Saturday, March 4 from 3-4pm. ReNew Power is India’s largest renewable energy company, leading the Indian market in total installed renewable capacity and valued at $2 billion dollars.

Mr. Gupta will host a brief lecture on ReNew Power’s operations, growth in the clean energy sector in India, and on the company’s Summer Internship and Scholarship program. This alluring program flies students out to the New Delhi-area to gain 2 months of hands-on experience in Finance, Strategy, CSR and Solar/Wind Project Management. The lecture will be an excellent opportunity to learn more about the development of the renewable energy sector in India and get a first look at an exciting career opportunity. The Northeast Sustainable Energy Association (NESEA) is now accepting scholarship applications for students to attend the BuildingEnergy Boston Conference + Trade Show on March 8th, 2017. Current voc/tech, college, and graduate students passionate about renewable energy, sustainable building, and high-performance design are encouraged to apply for this scholarship. We are calling upon members of our extended community to help us spread the word to qualified students.

Graduate Scholarships, EREF

 The Environmental Research and Education Foundation (EREF) is one of the largest sources of solid waste research funding in the U.S., allocating approximately $1 million annually in research grants and graduate level scholarships.
Thus far, over 50 students have been EREF scholars, many of whom are now in key academic and professional positions across the U.S.

Aug 10: Deadline for Greenbuild Scholarship Applications

The 2012 Greenbuild scholarships will bring together a diverse group of people from around the world who have important roles to play in the green schools movement, and give them the opportunity to participate in and learn from the largest green building conference and expo in the world!

All-expense paid trips to the 2012 Greenbuild Conference and Expo will be awarded to students, faculty, staff and other stakeholders within the higher education sector. The Center for Green Schools and USGBC distribute scholarships to promote diversity and social equity within the green building industry and the green schools movement.

Benefits for 2012 scholarship awardees include:

  • All-expense paid trip to Greenbuild 2012 in San Francisco from Nov. 13-16
  • Meet and connect with high-level professionals in the green building industry
  • Network with other college and university representatives
  • Participate in special on-site programming at Greenbuild that will include complimentary breakfasts, speaker presentations and an honorary dinner
  • Receive training and support from USGBC staff and other green building professionals
  • Free access to LEED 101 and LEED 201 online courses
  • Earn continuing education hours to satisfy GBCI’s LEED professional credential maintenance requirements
  • Play an integral role in advancing social equity within the green schools movement

Students interested in Greenbuild scholarships should also consider applying for mentorship opportunities with USGBC Board members. Board members support students in pursuing studies and careers in fields related to sustainability by offering professional advice, networking opportunities and career building experiences.

Feb 10-12: C2C Fellows Southeast Workshop (Athens, GA)

C2C Fellows is a national network for undergraduates and recent graduates aspiring to sustainability leadership in politics and business. C2C Fellows engages 300 students each year in intensive, weekend leadership trainings.

The registration fee for the weekend is $30, and includes food and lodging. Students can often apply for funding to their student governments or activity boards. Scholarships are also available.

Upon graduation from the workshops, students join the C2C Fellows Network. The network, based at the Bard Center for Environmental Policy, provides C2C Fellows with an ongoing community: updates, web-based events, career counseling, a social network of like-minded leaders, and ongoing “second-stage” educational opportunities. C2C Fellows are also eligible to apply to become C2C Scholars—funded graduate school students in our M.S. in climate science and policy, in Bard’s M.B.A. in Sustainability; or the dual degree program M.S./M.B.A.

C2C stands for Campus to Congress, to Capitol, to City Hall, and also for Campus to Corporation. C2C stands for young people gaining control of their future. C2C Fellows is the power network for young people with the wisdom, ambition, talent, and grace to change the future.

$1,000 C2C Follow-On Scholarships
We are pleased to announce that two graduates of our 2011-12 workshops will receive $1,000 scholarships to attend follow-on, multi-day leadership trainings. The first, through Starting Bloc, is focused on how to start a green business. The second, through Wellstone Action, walks you through how to run your own political campaign.

In April 2012, C2C will establish an application process for these two incredible opportunities!
