This Zoning Review Planner will work with both the ISD and Planning teams to undertake professional and technical work in planning, including project review, plan review for zoning consistency, site inspections for consistency with zoning approvals and special permit approvals.

Internship, Eagle Eye Institute

Eagle Eye Institute is offering a summer internship opportunity assisting with the organization and implementation of Eagle Eye’s proven Learn About ForestsTM Program and stewardship projects for urban youth from the Somerville, Medford and Boston. The Learn About Forests day includes forest exploration, teambuilding, two instruction periods taught by natural resource professionals, a stewardship project and dinner around a campfire. After the trip, youth participate in an urban stewardship project in their own neighborhood, often of their own choosing.

Director, Mayor’s Office of Sustainability and the Environment (Somerville, MA)

The City of Somerville is seeking a director for the Mayor’s Office of Sustainability and Environment (OSE). Working closely with department heads, community members, and the Mayor, the new Director of OSE will oversee a series of innovative policies and programs with the aim of making Somerville a net zero emissions city.
